The Annual Meeting will include a Keynote address from guest speaker Jack Berckemeyer. Jack is a nationally recognized presenter, author and humorist who began his career as a middle school teacher in Denver, Colorado. He has presented in hundreds of school districts and conference settings both nationally and internationally.
As school nursing is a specialty practice of nursing, OASN takes pride in being the voice that keeps kids healthy, in school and ready to learn. Many of the areas in which School Nurses work will be covered by the agenda topics including updates on diabetes, audiology and seizure care. There will be also be multiple presentations on ways to support holistic student health, as well as the required Category A session on delegation. Based on numerous evaluation surveys and requests we have secured Dr. Beth Weinstock of BirdieLight to close out Friday's day of learning.
